Jedi racers come to Cadwell
FORMULA Jedi single-seat racing cars will be out in force at Cadwell Park on Sunday, June 10, when the British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC) visits the Lincolnshire circuit for the first time this season.
The championship battle is hotting up after the previous round at Snetterton as the season reaches the halfway point, and the racing at Cadwell should be fast and furious.
A Formula Jedi held the outright lap record for Cadwell before it was beaten in 2005 and the cars suit the circuit's sweeping characteristics.
Formula Jedis run standard production motorcycle engines, although the regulations have changed slightly since that fastest lap was set in 2002.
The 2006 champion Brett Parris stood on the podium at Cadwell last year and lies second in the Championship in the 1000cc class.
Nigel Reuben holds the class lap record for Cadwell Park though and will want to be back on top this weekend.
The programme also includes racing from the Euro Saloon and Sports Car Championship, the Fiat Racing Challenge and the Alfa Romeo Championship. Details: 0870 950 9000.
