Louth CC’s second string side suffered a seven wicket defeat at Horncastle in the Lincolnshire League First Division.

Horncastle were made to work during their bowling spell as Louth batted slowly to a total of 89 all out after 34.1 overs.

Louth’s highest scoring batsman, Mark Duell, could only manage 28 runs before being caught by Richard Dixon, and three of Louth’s batting order were bowled for no runs with a further four being restricted to single figures.

It took Horncastle just 22 overs to reach their total, posting 89 for three wickets.
