THE competition is hotting up in the Louth Indoor Bowls Club summer triples league with four teams locked together on the same number of points.

Oaks just managed to cling on to top spot thanks to a better shots difference despite two defeats.

Oaks’ other loss was against Mudlarks who overcame a 7-0 defict to win 15-12 and move into third place.

In fourth are Two Plus One who beat Mix and Match 15-12 but then lost 19-14 to Rolling Scones who turned the game around by winning four consecutive ends with scores of 4-5-2-3.

Magnificent 7 at last came good with two wins. They got the benefit of four or five measures in a tight game to beat Scones 11-7 and then dumped Numbskulls on the bottom when beating them 17-12.
