BY winning both their games last week Bujiars opened up a 3-point lead at the top of the Louth Indoor Bowls Club summer triples league.

They comfortably dealt with Magnificent 7, winning 23-9 and then beat nearest rivals Oaks, eventually.

With the score at 3-3 Bujiars won the next four ends to lead 12-3 and then scored 3 on each of the last two ends for a 19-4 victory.

Oaks had earlier won 19-11 against Two Plus One who were then involved in a very intreresting game with Mix and Match.

The latter were looking good for a win at 13-2 ahead but their opponents scored 4, 5, 3 to go one shot in front.

Mix and Match came good again to lead 19-14 but Two Plus One grabbed 5 shots on the final end to salvage a 19-19 draw.

Mudlarks retained third spot with wins over Mix and Match (14-4) and Numbskulls (24-6).

Rolling Scones also enjoyed victories against the bottom two teams beating Numbskulls 20-4 and Magnificent 7 19-5.

There are new leaders in the Friday evening Pairs league as Ned Pickerill and Paul Dunham took a 2-point lead after they beat Barry Mountain and Liz Draper 18-8.
