Louth Indoor Bowls Club summer triples

LAST week saw a change at the top of the Louth Indoor Bowls Club Summer Triples league as leaders Oaks slumped to a surprise 16-7 defeat to bottom club Numbskulls.

Although Oaks won their second match, 14-7 against Mix and Match, it wasn’t enough to retain top spot which went to Two Plus One who won both their games.

The first came in a keen tussle with Bujiars who had come from behind to lead 16-10 only for their opponents to win the last three ends to nick a 18-16 victory.

The second was a more convincing 24-10 win over Magnificent 7. Bujiars maintained third spot, on shots difference, with a 18-8 win over Numbskulls.

Mudlarks could have displaced Bujiars but slipped up when beaten 15-8 by Rolling Scones.

The finishing touches are being made to next winter’s league fixtures and they should be available from Tuesday June 21. Team captains can then contact the club to arrange collection.
