Louth star Brindle shines as England complete series whitewash

LOUTH’S Arran Brindle took two wickets as England’s women cricketers wrapped up a 3-0 series whitewash over New Zealand.

Brindle took the wickets of Amy Satterwaite and Morna Nielson as England restricted the hosts to 220 from their 50 overs in the third ODI at Lincoln.

England were led by Sarah Taylor with the bat who struck an unbeaten 109 as the visitors knocked off the target in a shade under 43 overs.

Brindle hit just one not out as England cruised to a six-wicket win and completed an unbeaten tour of New Zealand.
