ATHLETICS: Louth Athletic Club finish year on a high

Louth Athletic Club have finished 2014 on a high with a win for the under-13 boys and several other top three finishes in the Lincolnshire Runner Cross Country League.

Under-13 boys Jevon George-Jones, Kieron Byrne and Caleb Stephenson finished well clear of second placed Cleethorpes in their age group.

They took the title after a hard fought series of races at Louth, Riseholme College and Castle Dyke Equestrian Centre.

Louth AC’s under 15 boys team of James Larder, Josh Tarrant, and Sam Spendlove finished second in their age group.

James won the individual title in the under-15 boys’ age group and brothers Jevon and Lucas George-Jones took the top spot in the under-11 and under-13s’ races.

Hannah Reid finished second in the under-13 girls and Kerry Stainton was second in the veteran women’s event, with the women’s team finishing third overall.
