There was very little change in positions throughout the leagues at Louth Indoor Bowls Club after last week’s set of fixtures.
The only unbeaten record was ruined when Derek Blow and Liz Draper lost for the first time in division 2 of the Tuesday Mixed Pairs as they went down 19-6 to Graham Wood and Eileen Rayner.
Defeat cost them the chance of top spot and they remained fourth, but only two points separate the top six pairs.
In the first division the top two pairs faced each other with Colin and Carol Smith beating Barrie Robinson and Pat Willoughby to replace the beaten duo as league leaders on shots difference.
Third-placed Lu and Tony Woods are also level on points with the top two after winning 24-7 against Radford and Sherry. Foster and Kearney secured their first victory with a 17-15 win over Tear and Stainton, but Morrell and King are still looking for their first points after just losing out in a high-scoring game against Briggs and Hillier who won 27-23.
In the Mixed Fours, SOS kept their four-point lead at the top with a 17-12 win over Optimists whilst Half A Mo have a seven-point cushion in second spot after beating Dreamers 18-5.
Kingfishers are perched nicely at the top of the Wednesday/Thursday Morning league after a 16-8 win over Pips maintained their eight-point advantage. Louth are second but only just beat Fledglings 12-11. Third-placed Sleepwalkers fell three points behind after slumping to a 24-8 defeat against bottom team Saints.
