There was no change in the top two positions after last week’s results in Louth Indoor Bowls Club’s Morning Triples league with Oaks maintaining their two-point advantage over Highgate Wanderers.

Both teams won their first game, Oaks beating Seagulls 14-8 while the Wanderers won 15-7 against In A Minute. Wanderers then suffered a 19-10 defeat against The Jays trio of John and Heather Masters and John Williams while Oaks lost out 12-7 in a tight scrap against a Mudlarks trio of Liz Draper, Derek Blow and John Readman.

An 11-all draw with Dreamers was good enough to move Mudlarks up a place over Two Plus One, who had a win and a defeat but both teams have the same number of points.

Two Plus One’s success came courtesy of a ‘5’ on the last end of their 16-12 victory over In A Minute. But what goes around comes around and they then lost out to The Jays who grabbed five shots over the last two ends to nick a 10-7 victory. The Jays were the only team to win both their games and the four points gained moved them up two places to fifth.
