Oaks maintained their place at the top of the Louth Indoor Bowls Club Triples league last week with two wins to stay two points clear of Highgate Wanderers, who hit top form to record two crushing victories.

Oaks always had the upper hand against Dreamers and finished with two ‘fours’ to win 21-9. They had to work a bit harder in a ding-dong game against Two Plus One, but won the last four ends for a 19-14 win. The Wanderers hammered Two Plus One 34-4 and followed up by thumping Mudlarks 31-6.

The Jays lost ground on the top two when losing 8-7 in a nail-biter against In A Minute, although they did beat Seagulls 13-6. Seagulls also lost by the same score to Mudlarks whilst Dreamers finished at a canter to beat In A Minute 20-8.
