Highgate Wanderers regained top spot of the Summer Triples league on shots difference thanks to a comfortable 27-6 win over rivals Oaks.

The Wanderers also enjoyed a simple 21-7 victory over Seagulls whilst Oaks had to work hard for a 12-7 win against bottom team In A Minute.

The battle for the title looks to be developing into a two-team race with Mudlarks and The Jays both five points behind.

‘Larks enjoyed two thumping victories to pinch third spot, beating The Jays 27-3 and overcoming In A Minute 21-7. The Jays came good in their second game when beating Dreamers 19-5.

In the Evening Pairs, Barry Mountain and Derek Woodforth maintained their four-point lead at the top with a solid 20-8 win against P.Jones and J.Day whilst second-placed Charlie Briggs and Keith Greenhill just got the better of J.Wiiliams and P.Morley by 14-9. George Chesman and Gary Boswell remain third after beating K.Castledine and M.Rose 14-10.
