The format was for three-man teams to compete, with the best two stableford scores per hole to count.
The men’s winners were Neil Foster, George Chester, Alan Simmons with 85 points.
Second were Ron Foulger, John Wallis and Geoff Keighley with 82 and Kevin Adlard, Chris Parker and Rob Murdy were third with 78.
Fourth, on 77, were Steve Owen, Andy Craven and Terry Winter 77.
For the Ladies the winners were Tricia Yeoman, Judith Barber and Janet Wallis with 68, ahead of runners-up Jo Partridge, Lynn Waddingham and Pam Hayden on 65.
Third-placed Cynthia Taylor, Anne Jarvis and Linda Allerton scored 64 and fourth team Gill Leverton, Pam Shepherd and Janet Moody had 61.
The prizes were presented by Sara Wilcox of Muscular Dystrophy.
There is one more delayed mixed competition, rained off in July, otherwise the Ladies’ Invitation for the Roy Player Trophy signals the end of the mixed competition year.
The winners of this foursomes stableford were Myra and Howard Greenwood on 40 points.
Second were Di Rowbotham and James Osmond on 39 with Margaret Williams and Mile Brader third with 38.
Fourth were Moira Barker and Andrew Wilkinson on 36, with fifth going to Linda and Keith West with 35.
The results of the knock-out pairs match play competition, which ran through the season, was also announced with the winners being the captains Moira Barker and Andrew Wilkinson, who were presented with the Roy Player Trophy.
