NEW teams are being welcomed for a new age kurling league being launched in January in Lincolnshire.
Lincolnshire Sports Partnership will launch the league to meet the growing demand for the game which is similar to the Olympic sport but is played in such venues as village halls with stones and pushers.
Currently over 200 people play the sport regularly in the county as part of more than 20 clubs.
Teams of two will be charged just £10 per team for the mini-league which will run until April. A larger league season will then begin in September.
The sports partnership will create a fixture list and divide the teams into divisions, teams can then arrange matches between themselves at suitable times for everyone.
The registration deadline is Wednesday, January 18, 2012.
