Game shoot off the bottom in Louth Snooker League

Don Noble Bookmaker Louth Billiards & Snooker League

DALES Poultry & Game have moved off the bottom of the snooker league with a superb 8-4 home win over current leaders Kitchen Solutions.

Craig Shaw, Jez Swaby and Mark Wilkinson all upset the form book as Keith Aston replied for the visitors who now share top spot with Sibjon Builders who lost 7-5 at Harness & Cooper Joiners.

Tom Melin shot the title challengers in front late on, but they let it slip as Martin Turner and Neil Ashwood both hit back to give the hosts a fine victory.

The top pair might just be looking over their shoulders as the reigning champions Castaline take closer order.

They are now up to fourth after beating Louth Building Supplies 8-4, Sam Mountain, Glenn Hallam and Gary Brown netted this latest win as Tony Byrne saved the hosts from further damage.

Seymour & Castle’s title bid went slightly dim in a 6-6 draw with NT Shaw Citroen, Jeff Read and Lee Rankin turned on the power for the visitors, but their hosts fought back through both Lee Cook and Ian Cook to take a draw and not even a brilliant 83 from Gary Skipworth could separate the two sides.
