THE Kenwick Park Golf Club Pro Am, sponsored by Eastern Airways, was won by Joe Lippett of Burghley Park with a round of 69.

Scott Emery (Woodhall Spa) and Paul Streeter (Lincoln Golf Centre) both shot 70 to be joint second.

Paul Bradshaw (Ping Golf Academy) and N Holdsworth, J Lax and M McDonough won the team event with a total of 124; some six shots ahead of the team led by Stephen Bennett (Waltham Windmill).

The teams of Joe Lippett (Burghley Park) and Simon Williams of Belton Park came joint third with 131.

In a medal competition open to both Kenwick and Louth members, James Turner (Louth) shot a fine 71 - 6 =65 to win the magnificent Marcus Brown silver trophy.

Lewis Campbell (2) came second in the net competition and won the best gross trophy with 69 - 2 =67.

Kenwick’s Steve Thompson (12) was third with a net 68.

Play on the day was brought to an abrupt halt by an afternoon storm which saw 55mm of rain falling in one hour.

With one man and one lady to score at each hole, mixed teams played an Am Am for the NRG trophy, presented by Neville and Wendy Green.

Nick and Jo Cudmore, Dermot Dreelan and Karen Archer scored an excellent 81 points to win.

Mike and Lesley Burton, Neil Pridgeon and Julia Sales were runners up with 78.

Martin and Jean Sizer playing with Paul and Cheryl Gilliatt took third prize with 76.

The nearest the pin winners at the 2nd, 8th, 12th and 17th were Val Pattinson, Neil Pridgeon, Lynda Berry and Simon Lidgard respectively.

The ladies played a four ball betterball competition on invitation day.

A countback on 42 points was needed to declare Allison Bottomley and Grace Morgan (Waltham Windmill) the winners with 42 points from runners up Cheryl Gilliatt and Ann Fern (Willesley Park).

Julia Sales and Rachel Denton (Elsham) were third with 41.

Margaret Covey (Louth) won the guest’s nearest the pin prize at the 2nd and Pam Hayward was the closest member at the17th whilst Carol James won the nearest the line prize at the 6th.
