Three swimming teams from King Edwards VI Grammar in Louth did themselves proud at the recent English Schools National Relay championships in Coventry.

Having won the Regional finals in Nottingham, the teams faced off against the country’s best with 30 schools taking part.

The standard of swimming was extremely high and one team even including a gold medallist from the 2012 Olympics.

The Junior Girls Freestyle team of Sofie Schneider, Marie Schneider, Megan Hodgson and Emma Maw finished in 16th place with a time of two minutes and 5.76 seconds.

Dan Challis, Henry Dixon, Sam Legge and Kieran Young made up the Junior Boys Medley team, finishing 15th in with two minutes and 19.74 seconds.

And the Intermediate Boys Freestyle team of Callum Gladding, Charlie Spencer, Will McIntyre and Will Kemp finished in an excellent 11th place in one minute, 48.64 seconds.
