THE Louth Indoor Bowls Club’s Ladies team suffered a 125-69 defeat in their Trudy Bates county match at Lincoln, where not many teams get much reward.
Louth did gain one rink win, however, with Joan Stones, Brenda Clark, Betty Cuthbert and Carol Kelly fending off a late fightback to win 20-18.
A second rink success was denied by another Lincoln fightback when the home four grabbed four shots on the final end to win by three shots.
