MANY local sports coaches have so far taken advantage of a new partnership making it easier to borrow library resources.

Over 400 resources have so far been borrowed as part of the new partnership between Lincolnshire Library Services and the Lincolnshire Coaches Network.

All stock is located at Lincoln Central Library, but can be transferred to other libraries around the county on request. There is a loan charge of 25p for self-loan, or 50p if loans are carried out by library staff members.

Resources include sport specific books and training manuals.

The most popular resources so far have proven to be Leadbetters Quick Tips; the very best short lessons to fix any part of your golf game, Running Well; run, smart, run faster, avoid injuries and enjoy it more, and Go Ski.

Lizzie Couling, workforce development manager at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said: “The resources available at Lincolnshire Libraries are proving very popular with our coaches.

“It is a great tool for coaches, teachers and volunteers; books like these are often very expensive to buy so this partnership allows coaches to still receive the information, but at a reduced cost.”
