Another fine display by Louth men’s indoor bowls A team saw them pull off a 14-4 win at home to Long Sutton.
Louth were victorious on all but rinks one and two where the team of Paul Stanley, Pat Jacklin, Dave Roper and Colin Smith came up against the strongest team that Long Sutton put out.
Right from the off they looked to be on a hiding and that was what they got losing by nine to 26 shots.
Whereas on rink five the Louth team of Ernst Jensen, Howard Cope. Harry Putland, and Tony Musson brought in the hosts’ best win at 38 to 14 shots.
The rink three team of Jack Goy, Mally Hewson, Alan Watson, Allan Dent seemed to be heading for another thrashing when Long Sutton steamed away with five then four shots on the first two ends, but through dedicated and precision play brought the game around to a Louth win of 26 shots to 21.
Louth ended the match with a 14-4 aggregate win in what was another great display for the club.
