Louth Cyclists Touring Club were among the winners at a countywide presentation evening.

The Lincolnshire Area Cyclists Touring Club (CTC) handed out their awards for 2015 at their annual meeting at Binbrooke Village Hall.

The Louth group won the Paul Enderby Memorial Trophy for promoting cycling activities in their area.

The club were shortlisted after raising several hundreds pounds for several charities, as well as promoting cycle rides throughout the year.

The CTC promotes touring cycling in the county, organising cycle rides into the countryside using quiet roads and Sustrans cycle routes, and fights for cyclists’ rights and welfare.

Lincolnshire CTC president Trevor Halstead said: “Cycle touring is exciting, interesting and sociable.

“Riders don’t have to be super fit, all they require is a safe, roadworthy cycle.”
