Louth Fencing Club has got off to a flying start in the Yorkshire/Humberside Region.
With all 12 juniors attending the Championships, eight qualified to represent the region, fencing foil, at the British Youth Championships later this year.
This prestigious event is held at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
Qualifiers in their age groups were Emily Goolden, Morgan Webster, Robert Kemp, Sam and Joe Blair, Alex Judge, Wilf Broughton and Lottie Fry.
The juniors are working hard and had another superb start to the year with nine medals in the first leg of the Yorkshire Youth League.
Golds went to Emily Goolden, Conner Webster, Robert Kemp and Lottie Fry. Silvers to Abbie Johnson, Jo Blair, Alex Judge and Morgan Webster and Wilf Broughton took bronze.
Not to be outdone in the Yorkshire Senior Foil, the top event in the region, Andrew Chu took Silver, Kate Harris and Kim DeLarge both took bronze.
At the same event Robert Kemp took bronze in the under 14 event.
Jim Harris, head coach, said, “A combination of commitment to training and a large number of experienced adults coaching, the club has had an incredible start to the year.
“The large city clubs would be more than happy with this amount of success at this time of the season.”
