Louth Golf Club: Kenwick pair land Fardem Cup

Louth Golf Club’s mens’ section held the first of their invitation days, opening with the Fardem Cup.

The betterball stableford was won by Simon Appleton and Chris Winney (Kenwick) with 45 points, a full five clear of runners-up Terry Winter and O. Cowling (Waltham). Ross Evans and Sean Howson (Kenwick) took third place with 39 on countback from Martin Holdsworth and Pete Smallman (Rotherham).

* The Iacha-Da individual stableford was won by Rich Towse with 42 points.

Results – Division One: 1 C. Thompson 39, 2 N. Dawson 39, 3 S. T. Matthews 38, 4 S. Smith 38. Division Two: 1 R. Towse 42, 2 K. Warsap 41, 3 S. Hale 41, L. James 41.

* The ladies’ medal was won by Janet Moody with a round of nett 76, pipping C. Craven by one stroke. S. Green was a further stroke back in third. Yvonne Mapletoft won the stableford with 28 points from runner-up E. Whetton (26).
