Louth hockey: Juniors on song at Horncastle tournament
Their first game was against Lindum (Lincoln) with Max Greenfield scoring twice to give Louth a 2-0 win before they replicated the scoreline and result against Sleaford Foxes thanks to a brace from Ross Armstrong.
The under 14s’ toughest game of the day came against Long Sutton as Louth fought back to earn a 2-2 draw courtesy of a late short corner goal from Nick Short.

Hide AdTheir penultimate match came against Bourne Deeping and the team performed well to win 5-0 before goals from Ishasha Stewart, Ross Armstrong and Max Greenfield helped Louth to finish the tournament with victory against the hosts Horncastle.
The team consisted of Archie Hulance, Olly and Esmee Trotter, Ross Armstrong, Nick Short, Ishasha Stewart, Max Greenfield and Layla Short.
Archie Hulance was Louth’s player of the tournament.
* Louth Hockey Club’s men’s First XI return to action on Saturday, following a blank weekend, with a trip to City of Peterborough.
The First XI currently sit sixth in the East League Division Five NW, but just four points off second place.
