In the Louth Indoor Bowls Club Evening Pairs, Keith Castledine and Debbie Castle maintained their two-point lead at the top after an excellent 23-9 win over Brian Paffey and Marion Rose.

The result saw their beaten opponents drop to third as the Paul Hayman-Linda Oldfield combination pinched second spot on shots difference with a 19-5 victory over Dunham and Morley.

Just a point behind are Barry Mountain and Pauline Thornton who were held to a 10-all draw by John Williams and Jane Scott. The other two games saw the Greenhill-M. Oldfield pairing win 14-8 against Gladding and C. Rose, while Matthews and Tomlin beat N. and J. Brougham 22-10.
