Louth Indoor Bowls Club winners

THE Louth Indoor Bowls Club’s Mixed ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams faced each other in county league action with the ‘A’ team coming out on top by 124 shots against 72.

The ‘B’ team did manage one rink success with Tony Nielson’s four of Ernst Jensen, Renee Kearney and Judi Jacklin winning 17-15.

They had led from the second end but were pegged back to 15-all with two ends to play.

The ‘A’ team’s best winning rink was that of Sylvia Stainton, Keith Kelly, Pat Jacklin and Pam Cowling which won 32-8.

The Men’s Over 60s team were completely trounced in their match at Lincoln with the home club winning all five rinks in the 145-56 aggregate scoreline.

John Welsh’s rink was the only one looking likely to score any points for Louth with their score at 9-9 after nine ends but they droppd a ‘6’ two ends later and eventually lost by seven shots.
