Louth Kenwick Park Golf Club winners

Kenwick Park Golf Club members played an individual stableford for the Sam King trophies.

Alistair and Julie Harvey presented these trophies in memory of Sam King, a famous professional who lived for a number of years on the Kenwick Estate, when it was owned by Alistair’s father.

All the entry fees to the Kenwick Park Junior Section.

Sue Burkitt (24) stayed out of the punishing rough and scored a magnificent 40 points to win the ladies competition.

Jo Cudmore (25) came second with 37 ahead of Karen Archer (28) in third place with 36.

Nick Cudmore was the clear winner of the men’s trophy with 36 points. Toby Draper (17) was runner up with 35 on a countback from Carl Toon (14) and David Coulam (7).

The ladies played the qualifying round of the Ping Four Ball Better Ball.

Jeanette Stephenson (20) and Val Pattinson (16) played to win with 42 points ahead of Sue Sykes (10) and Sandra Crow (11) who scored 41. Julie Harvey (12) and Lesley Burton (15) were third with 39.

The seniors played a stableford competition from the back tees for the John King Salver.

Steve Blackburn (13) who has been playing very well this year won the trophy with 33 points on a countback from Vice Captain Roger Goldsmith (13). Andy Sherratt (14) was third with 32.

n ON Monday May 28 at Sandilands Golf Club 28 seniors played in a stableford competition.

Division A was won by Jim Moore with 40pts. Brian Marks came second with 36pts and Don Douglas third with 35pts.
