Louth Tennis Centre’s Ed Holt at The Antayla Open in Turkey

ED Holt, from Louth Tennis and Sports Centre, has achieved his first title overseas.

He defeated Giorgos Lazaridis of Greece and Lhaj Boukatacha of Morocco 6-7, 6-3, and 10-7 in a match tie-break with his partner Iraq’s Hamdan Qasim.

Ed and his partner were number two seeds in The Antayla Open in Turkey, part of the ITF Futures Series.

l Louth U14 Boys carried on with their winning ways at Louth Tennis & Sports Centre.

Two new boys, Alfie Lyons and Louis Moulding, helped regulars Josh Elliot, Ollie Boulton and Ben Bertie to a 6-0 win against Deeping U14 Boys.

Josh, Ollie, Ben and Alfie all won their singles and Josh and Ollie won a close doubles while Ben and Louis had a comfortable win in theirs.

Club coach and team captain Joseph Allinson was very happy with the teams performance, especially newcomers Alfie and Louis, and hopes the team can win their last two matches to win the league.
