Louth U13s see off Mablethorpe in local clash

Mablethorpe U13s 0

Louth Town U13s 2

IN this junior match on a blustery Sunday morning Town kicked down the slope, Mablethorpe attacked strongly and Louth’s keeper pulled off two remarkable saves.

James Larder then went close but his shot went wide.

Further good play by Town saw a great corner by Nathan Marsh headed well by James Larder but saved well by the Mablethorpe keeper.

The first half saw defences from both sides hold firm and Louth’s back four with Ben Leader outstanding against his former club.

The second half saw Ben Damms and Jordan Eyre improve their game and George Walker and Ben Darke outstanding.

The goal of the match was scored by James Larder a left foot volley screaming into the net which gave the keeper no chance.

Then Will Lawson made a great save to keep Louth ahead but the away team were unlucky not to equalise when a stunning shot hit the crossbar.

The game was then made safe by Nat Marsh who after receiving a great pass side footed home to make it 2-0.

Louth deserved their win but Mablethorpe had their moments and were unlucky not to get on the score sheet.

The game was well officiated by Adrian Smart and full marks to the young Mablethorpe linesman who was a credit to his club.

The Louth team are sponsored by Brian Damms Plumbing and Heating.
