Mablethorpe Running Club ladies joined the 212 runners for the gruelling Lincolnshire Wolds Tough 10-mile race.
It is held on a tough multi-terrain course with an overall climb of 459ft, featuring some very difficult hills, starting and finishing in the village of Swallow, near Caistor.
The rain did little to dampen the spirits of the Mablethorpe trio who all achieved PBs. Tammy Rainbow knocked more than 90 seconds off last year’s time to finish 65th (sixth lady and second vet 40) in 1hr 13min 58secs, while Sharon Wheatley Margarson was 172nd in 1.32.46, and Elaine Wilson (1.33.39) came home 176th.
* Junior and senior Mablethorpe RC members travelled to Hubbards Hills for the second of Louth AC’s Wolds Dash Series.
