Mablethorpe runner Chris Rainbow took on one of the toughest marathon courses in the country, at Lake Windermere, finishing in 13th overall with an excellent time of just over three hours.
Chris, of Mablethorpe Running Club, ran a 3:02:52 in the Windermere Marathon around stunning scenery and a hilly course.
Close to 750 competitors completed the course with Chris coming in 13th position overall.
Meanwhile seven club runners attended the Bolingbroke Breaker 10k hosted by Skegness Coasters RC.
The route included two huge hills and many inclines over the undulating course. Chris Rainbow, showing fine form, was first back for Mablethorpe in 40m 42s (3rd). Nigel Booth was 8th in a time of 42m 12s.
Janine Stones (10th) came back in 42m 37s while in 17th was Nigel Cross in 45m 18s.
Guy Willey (24th) 47m 35s and Paul Marriot (30th) in 49m 45s. 32nd was Gavin Pickwell in 50m 19s.
The club meets at Mablethorpe Athletic Club on Sherwood Fields in Mablethorpe at 6.30 pm every Monday and everyone, whatever their age or ability, are welcome to go and run.
