A new project to encourage more local girls and women into tennis in Louth has been a ‘net’ success!

East Lindsey District Council teamed up with Louth Tennis Centre to hold a number of tennis coaching sessions provided by the centre’s own professionals.

The aim was to break down the barriers preventing women and girls taking part in sport and it has proved particularly successful.

Almost half of all the girls taking part have now become fully fledged tennis centre members.

Who knows? Maybe the next Laura Robson will come from Louth!
