Another successful grading took place for students in kickboxing at the British Chinese Kickboxing Association held at Mablethorpe’s Station Sports Cemtre.

All students that graded passed the grueling session after a hard warm up at the start of the session.

BCKA instructor Stuart Hurren said: “We have some promising students at the club that with hard work and dedication could become first class fighters, and will soon be winning trophies in the near future.

“A lot of people think that kickboxing is really a sport for boys and men, but we are building up the ladies side of the club with a couple of the girls showing that they can really hold their own against anyone.

“Even the lads are wary about going against them, especially our high kicking warrior Carrie-anne Pickering.”
