At Louth Indoor Bowls Club David Wise and Norman Stocks made it three wins out of three in the Australian Pairs with a 17-10 win over the Easts but still had to settle for second spot.
Top of the table are Ray and Sue Green who have the same number of points but have played a game more. They beat Farrow and Briggs 13-10 but their only defeat was on the last end against Williams & Draper who won 13-12.
In the Mixed Fours there were last end deciders in three of the four games. Having been robbed on the final end of last week’s game Wickaholics finished with a ‘3’ to draw 13-13 with Half A Mo.
Dunwicking hung for a last-gasp victory for the second week running when beating Optimists 11-10 whilst Dreamers earned a 12-11 win over Smilers. But SOS top the table by one point thanks to a solid 24-14 win against Falcons.
Garry Skill and Pauline Thornton are the early leaders in the second division of the Tuesday Mixed Pairs after they just edged a 14-12 win against Wood & Rayner. Jones & Holdsworth racked up a 26-4 win over the Woodforths whilst Craven & Dracass beat the Toyns 18-10. Best game was the low-scoring 8-8 draw between Blow & Draper and R & S Green.
Follies retain top spot in the Ladies league despite not playing, but their maximum points from six games keeps them two points ahead of Flyers who also have an unblemished record from five games after hanging on to beat Bunnies 15-13.
In division 2 of the Friday Mixed Pairs Tony Saunders and Irene Bailey made it four wins in succession as they just had enough to beat Malcolm Pearce and Rachael Stanley 20-13.
