Welcome to our Help page. Here you’ll find answers to questions related to our sites – both the full desktop version and the mobile version.

How can I register?

On our website you can register using the link located in the centre of the page directly below the navigation bar.

On our mobile site you can register by going to the 'Login/Register' link at the bottom of every page, and clicking the 'Register now' link. Alternatively you can find links to the registration page in the comments section of articles and in the Find it section.

On the registration page you will need to fill in some personal details and enter a valid email address. The system will send an activation email to that email address which will contain a link to activate your account.

Once activated you will be able to login and use all features of both the website and the mobile site.

How can I comment?

Before you are able to comment on either the website or the mobile site you must first register by following the steps outlined above.

Once you have registered and activated your account you will be able to login and comment on articles open to comments.

How do I report comments unsuitable?

After you have logged in, you will see that each comment has a link marked 'Report' which allows you to report a comment as unsuitable.

How do I navigate around the website / mobile site?

As well as clicking on articles and links in the website / mobile site, you can use the dropdown navigation at the top of every page.

Search

A search field in located at the top right side of the website / mobile site. This will search through all the content available on the website / mobile site.

  This comes from our ad serving technology and is used to track how many times you have seen a particular ad on our sites, so that you don't just see one advert but an even spread. This information is not used by us for any other type of audience recording or monitoring.
- ComScore ►
  
  ComScore monitor and externally verify our site traffic data for use within the advertising industry. Any data collected is anonymous statistical data and cannot be traced back to an individual.
- Local Targeting ►
  
  Our Classified websites (Photos, Motors, Jobs and Property Today) use cookies to ensure you get the correct local newspaper branding and content when you visit them. These cookies store no personally identifiable information.
- Grapeshot ►
  
  We use Grapeshot as a contextual targeting technology, allowing us to create custom groups of stories outside out of our usual site navigation. Grapeshot stores the categories of story you have been exposed to. Their privacy policy and opt out option can be accessed here.
- Subscriptions Online ►
  
  Our partner for Newspaper subscriptions online stores data from the forms you complete in these to increase the usability of the site and enhance user experience.
- Add This ►
  
  Add This provides the social networking widget found in many of our pages. This widget gives you the tools to bookmark our websites, blog, share, tweet and email our content to a friend.
- 3rd Party Cookies ►
