The Louth Domino League presentation evening was held last week (June 16) at Louth Hospital Sports and Social Club.

The League winners: The Brown Cow, runners up: Hospital A. The OAP Cup winners: Hospital Waifs and Strays, runners up: The Brown Cow. The Blind Cup winners: Hospital Waifs and Strays, runners up: Hospital Tigers. The Guide Dog Trophy winners: The Brown Cow, runners up: Hospital Waifs and Strays.

The open doubles winners: Mick and Geoff Adams from The Woolpack Lions, runners up: D Lyall and M Wordley from The Hospital Dogs. The ladies doubles winners: Betty Ellis and Dory Tuxworth from The Woolpack Lions, runners up: J Lyall and M Southgate. The Capatains Cup winners: Basil Dixon and Andrew Stebbins of The Brown Cow, runners up: G Godfrey and B Dawson from The Hospital Tigers.

The Champion of Champions cup was won by Vicky Broughton and Marion Dixon from The Brown Cow, runners up: C Dickinson and P Brammer from The Hospital Dogs. The Mrs Hanigan Cup winners: Mark Wordley and Dave Berdinner, runners up: M Fothergill and S Ranshaw. The EMM Trophy winnerL Jim Drayton winning 40 points out of a possible 60, joint runners up: M Dixon and V Broughton from The Brown Cow with 35 points each.

After the presentation, chairman Dave Lyall thanked Aidy Harrison and Katie Stevenson for presenting the trophies to the winners in memory of Allen Harrison who played dominoes for many years in the league. He also thanked the committee members for there help during the season, especially Brian Hewson, the leagues treasurer who missed half the season through ill health.

The AGM is at The Hospital Sports and Social Club on Monday, July 21 at 8.30pm. Any pub or club wanting to enter a team can come to the AGM or contact Dave or June Lyall on 01507 603258.
