This 36 hole event was held on a very windy day at Market Rasen. Sam Done shot the best round of the day scoring an outstanding 38 points in the afternoon to claim victory.
Kenwick’s junior coaching programme is clearly paying dividends with head coach Paul Spence deserving a great deal of credit for Sam’s ever growing stature within the county’s set up.
The A team took on the B team in their annual match. After enjoying a full English breakfast, the 28 players taking part keenly contested all seven matches.
Ashton Turner and Sam Done won their match 6 and 4 after playing the first 14 holes in seven under par. Chris Hunt and Chris Winney won a point back for the B team with a 3 and 2 victory. Eventually the A team won with a 4.5 to 2.5 result.
