Pupils from St Michael’s Church of England Primary School, Louth, were in the swing of things as they won the Tri-Golf tournament held in towwn last week.
The school sent four teams selected from 60 children in year 3 and 4. The top two scores from each school were totalled and St Michael’s Blue and Red team scored 548 plus 545 to win with a total of 1093.
The two teams were made up of Max Guise, Jake Adam, Lara Phillips, Poppy Hunt, Ryan Mason, Finley Charlton, Katie Ormond and Freya Allen.
They finished ahead of children from North Somercotes Primary, North Cockerington, Greenwich House, Osgodby, Lacey Gardens and Holton le Clay.
St Michael’s deputy headteacher John Marritt, said: “All 60 children have really enjoyed playing Tri-golf at school - it’s a great way to start playing golf.
“It’s another great opportunity for 10 of our younger juniors to compete in the Sainsbury’s School Games taking place in July. I was really proud of all the children who took part, especially the two year three boys in the Red team.”
