Jev Walmsley bids to bring world sidecar title back to Louth

Louth sidecar ace Jeven Walmsley and Peter Founds return to Cadwell Park later this month to continue their assault on the FSRA British Sidecar Championship.

Jev and Peter, from Knutsford, are currently leading the championship by 36 points, riding under the Team Founds 72 banner, as they head into the fourth round out of six at the Lincolnshire circuit on Saturday and Sunday, July 30 and 31.

Jeven is hoping he can bring the title back home to Louth after a 58-year-long gap since the late Jackie Beeton and passenger Eddie Bulgin won it on their Norton, as well as world champion Les Nutt who also acted as Jackie’s ballast at times, both home and abroad.

Jeven is looking to follow in their illustrious footsteps and was given encouragement at this year’s TT by Jackie’s son Pete Beeton.

He came into the paddock after their second-placed finish and told the young Louth racer that Jackie would have been shouting for them all the way to the flag.

Team Founds 72 would like to thank the local businesses for their support: R and Y Motors, Louth Building Supplies, Woodthorpe Body Works, and Waldo Graphics.

Team Founds are happy to meet enthusiasts and show them the LCR600 Suzuki. They intend to compete at next year’s Isle of Man TT as well as the 600 Supercup Sidecars series.
