Walmsley and his Cheshire-based driver lost the lead to Lee Crawford and reigning world champion Patrick Farrance.

But they did not run in second for long, regaining the lead at the next corner before racing on to take the chequered flag and victory.

The duo flew into the lead in the second race and never looked like being caught as they secured maximum points and a great result for Team Founds.

They were invited to pit their Formula 2 machine against the 1000cc Formula 1 sidecars at the British Superbikes meeting at Oulton Park last weekend, hoping to get some valuable coverage on live television.

This weekend they return to the bread and butter of the British F2 Championship and round two at Donington Park.
