Louth Tennis and Sports Centre hosted two junior matches last weekend and ran out winners in both age groups.

Playing on Saturday afternoon, the centre’s U18 Regional Aegon team played Beechwood from Coventry.

Louth have a strong team even at this high level and won comfortably by 4-2. The team of Josh Elliott, Felix Beach, Ben Bertie and Seb Barker with fellow team members Sean Hodkin and Morgan Vickers should prove to be a good team this year.

The centre’s U14 team made their debut in the Lincolnshire Aegon League and proved too strong for Tennis Buddies. Sound performances at singles and doubles gave Louth a resounding 5-1 victory. Team members Sam Fisher, Joe Fisher, Oliver Lyon and Ben Wilkinson all played well and deserved their victory.

On Sunday, the Rusty Racket Squad held an Easter Sunday Tournament run by their coach Faye Button. 22 players took part in the tournament, which was won by Looby Hardcastle and Annie Lowther with Phil and Emma Hoyes as runners up.

The action continues thick and fast at the centre with 11 teams across all ages in action this weekend as Louth begins the defence of the numerous titles they won last year.
