Jono Bromfield has clinched a place in the GB team for Geneva 2015 for the European Triathlon Union.
After competing in the Dambuster at Rutland Waters, completing a 1,500m open water swim, 42km bike and a 10km run, finishing in third place for his age group, he claimed a silver medal as a member of British Triathlon.
Jono completed the event in a time of 2 hours, 8 minutes and 50 seconds which made him 14th in the whole event, of which more than 1,000 athletes started.
Jono said: “It is with big thanks to my family for putting up with all my training, strange eating habits and early mornings. It’s also a huge thanks to all the support from Louth Triathlon Club for their belief in me and the cheering driving me over the finish line.”

This marks the second Team GB qualification for the club after Ross McGregor’s recent success qualifying for the 2014 ITU World Tri Champs in Canada.
