Woodhall Spa Golf Club has a formidable record when it comes to producing exciting young talent.

Holly Clyburn and Paul Kimsey are just two of the many players to enjoy glittering amateur careers before setting their sights on professional success.

Now, the latest youngsters look set to roll off a prolific production line.

They have made a winning start to the season after defeating Louth based Kenwick Park over the world renowned Hotchkin Course.

Club stalwart and Junior Section chairman Barry Chapmansaid: “We’ve a thriving junior set up with over 80 members and there are some exiting prospects.”

The juniors will certainly look smart this year after new ‘uniforms’ were donated by two club members.

The players will now be wearing green sweaters for the first time in the club’s history.

Players of the calibre of India Clyburn, Emily Slater and Bille Jo-Smith are all tipped for representative honours - adding to Woodhall Spa’s impressive list of junior honours.
