Full speed ahead for new motor technology park at Cadwell

A MAJOR scheme to create a Motor Technology Park at Cadwell Park, near Louth, looks set to progress further.

Lincolnshire County Council is looking to use Cadwell, which is owned by Motor Sport Vision, to drive the creation and growth of a cluster of motor and transportation technology businesses.

A council report said the creation of a park on land next to the racing circuit would ‘potentially address some local and regional strategic employment objectives, and in addition may attract high-technology businesses to the area, which may in turn raise aspirations of the local workforce as well as provide potential employment opportunities’.

The idea is to build a 25,000 square ft area which would be split between motor engineering businesses, conference and training space and motor technology.

The council report says: “In order for the development to complement the sensitive nature of the surroundings, the buildings will likely be of an earth-sheltered design with angled glazed windows.”
