THE final of the Jubilee Snooker Teams Knockout will be between Harness & Cooper Joiners and Louth Travel Centre after both sides came through exciting semi-finals writes Jack Westerby.
There’s to be no second successive final appearance for cup holders J Melton Painters after they lost 7-6 to theHarness & Cooper team.
Fresh from their brilliant win in the group stages Joiners quickly had their rivals on the block thanks to wins from Martin Turner and Matt Archer.
The Painters then staged a fightback through I Bullivant and Mark Bullivant to send the tie into a one frame decider, which was won by Pat O’Reilly.
For the second time in a fortnight Louth Travel Centre defeated Sibjon Builders, this time for a place in the final, Mark Copeland, Ray Beszant and Ken Simpson all rocked their opponents foundations.
Billiards Teams Knockout Final
MA Stephenson Autos sealed the Billiards Knockout Cup with a very comfortable 3-0 home win over the holders ABC Riding Wear.
Leading from the first leg the hosts put the result beyond doubt when Lee Cook took the opener, Ian Cook increased the score and for good measure they took the last through Hayden Gavey to steer to a 5-0 overall win plus a lead of 263 on the aggregate.
