Presentation night for Binbrook Bowling Club
THE newly formed Binbrook Bowling Club held their presentation night at The Plough Inn.
Chairman Derek Parrott said what a pleasure it was to be involved in running the club and how proud he was with the teams' league results.
Binbrook Lightnings, captained by Peter Wilson, won Division 3 of the LIndsey Marsh League and the second Binbrook team, captained by Terry Rawlinson, won Division 5 of the EBF Grimsby, Cleethorpes League.
In the EBA Cleethorpes & District League, the third team, captained by Ian Shackleton, were runners-up.
Derek praised members of his team, Binbrook Canberras, who, despite finishing bottom of Division 3 in the LIndsey Marsh League, had battled on until the end of the season.
Pete Wilson and Ray Shaw presented trophies to the Lightning Team, before Terry Rawlinson and Rick Trustler presented trophies to the second team.
Winners of the club competitions were: Plough Inn Men's Singles - Ian Shackleton; Ladies Rose Bowl - Joan Parrott; Charles Vamplew Trophy - Joan Parrott and Ray Shaw; Secretary's Pairs - Trevor Smith and Rose Read.
