Triples league at Louth Indoor Bowls Club

OAKS and Bujiars remained locked together at the top of the Louth Indoor Bowls Club Summer Triples league after each team won both their games last week.

Oaks did just enough to see off Mix and Match 10-6 and a count of ‘7’ late on in their game against Two Plus One gave them a 21-11 victory.

Bujiars scraped past bottom team Numbskulls 15-10 but then outgunned Magnificent 7 by 31-3. Mudlarks also won both their games to take third spot but nearly slipped up in their first game.

Comfortably ahead against Rolling Scones they dropped a ‘6’ and were relieved to grab shot on the last end to win 13-12.

Their second game was a more convincing 22-9 victory over Mix and Match.

Two Plus One have had a bad spell recently and also lost 20-7 to Magnificent 7 but are sill only four points off the leaders.

The title now rests between these four teams.

Committee members are reminded that the next meeting will be on Friday July 29 at 8pm.
