The Louth Chamber Choir will be presenting a Christmas celebration this weekend, which will see an accomplished soloist visit the town.
The event will take place on Sunday (December 7) at 7.30pm in St James’s Church, Louth, where the Choir will present ‘A Feast of Music for Advent and Christmas’.
The programme includes the popular Christmas Music from Handel’s Messiah, a Bach cantata and carols, and the Lincolnshire Chamber Players will provide orchestral accompaniment.
The conductor will be Frederic Goodwin, and soloists include the well-known local singers Jessica Banks, Emma Wardell and Martin Priestley.
The tenor solos will be sung by an accomplished young visiting singer, Xavier Hetherington.
Xavier, a Choral Scholar in the world-famous choir of St John’s College, Cambridge, is already a highly experienced soloist in both church music and opera.
Admission to the concert costs just £8, which can be bought on the door.
