Louth’s Studio 2000 School of Dance was praised for their “amazing first set of exam results” by the United Dance Organisation after everybody passed their grade 1 or grade 2 street dance exams - with some pupils even taking both.

The decision to get on board the United Dance Organisation was a tricky one for Ellie Hales and Nicky Wright at Studio 2000, as the syllabus - unlike other dance branches - is solely renowned for street dance.

But, unafraid of a challenge, Ellie and Nicky are proud of what the group has achieved just 18 months later.

The Studio 2000 competition team is currently working hard on a piece for their second street dance championship (having achieved fourth place on their first attempt), and the team is also rehearsing for their annual summer show “Dance Yourself Dizzy” which will take place at Louth’s Riverhead Theatre in July.

Studio 2000 teaches a variety of classes covering all age groups, including ‘Mini Poppers’ (3-7 year olds), Lockin’ Squad (8-11 year olds) and the S2K Competition Crew (12+). Visit www.studio2000-dance.co.uk for more information.
