THE Sutton on Sea and Trusthorpe Carnival presentation night was held on Sunday, August 7. Carnival entrants attended the event held at Sutton Social Club.
The winners each received special trophies and certificates of merit for their hard work.
The evening was the culmination of another hugely successful Carnival year and arrangements are already underway for 2012.
The Carnival winners are: Best Float in the Parade: The Air Ambulance; Best Individual on a Scooter: Reg Cooke; Best Decorated Mobility Vehicle: Sheila Rich; Best Decorated Scooter: RAF Association; Best Children’s Walking Group: Friends of Sutton School; Best Adult Walking Group: The Mature Movers; Best Presented Band: The Ambassadors of Borrowash; Best Charity Entrant: St Andrew’s Hospice; Best Child Individual Walker(s): Madeleine and Harriet Childs; Best Adult Individual Walker: Katharine Childs; Best Animal Group: Pennine Bernise Carters; Best Motorised Vehicle in parade: 1987 Citroen 2CV - Charleston Best Shop Window Display: St Andrew’s Hospice; Best Group displaying theme of carnival: Marisco Medical Centre; Carnival Committee Special Award: Matt Gardner; Carnival Queens Award: Elaine Mitchell; Carnival Princesses Awards: Chloe Whitney, Emily Whitney, Lauren Jones and Josie Onions-Ward.
