Former ‘Young Musician of the Year’ to perform

The lunchtime recital at St James’s Church, Louth, on Friday (July 25) will be given by Amy Baker, an accomplished young pianist born and brought up in Louth.

Amy attended King Edward VI Grammar School and now studies Music and Spanish at Newcastle University. She was Louth Young Musician of the Year at the age of 14, and in July last year she gained the ALCM Diploma in piano performance.

Her programme on Friday will include music by Bach, Haydn, Schubert, Chopin, Brahms and Ibert. Further details can be found on the recitals website: stjamesrecitals.vpweb.co.uk

The recital begins at 1pm, and refreshments will be available. Admission is free, with a retiring collection being taken in support of the church’s music.
